And due to glare in road traffic, high-gloss roofs are also a (easily avoidable) safety risk. I see a fundamentally different quality here than with the pink facades mentioned by and the like (which are actually a matter of taste and do not per se represent an impairment). More like a category with small wind turbines, which I also would not want in the neighborhood, although I think wind power in itself is great.

Well, cookies, isn't that a bit far-fetched? I've never been blinded by a roof like that.

no that is definitely not far-fetched. There are glossy and semi-glossy ones, maybe you have only seen the semi ones so far. Glossy ones are really extreme depending on the angle of incidence, I don't understand why anyone would have/want/ be allowed to have something like that on the roof.
