Thank you! Honestly, I thought it would be even more for a see-through fireplace, but I would have also estimated around 10k.

Hello forum,

finally, the time has come and the construction phase is slowly getting started. We have now contacted the first trades for the foundation slab and earthworks and are very curious about the actual costs incurred.

Soil: very good soil without findings by soil surveyor. Wide green meadow, no special conditions or regulations.

This is what our architect is currently planning in terms of costs:

1.1 Construction Site Setup 5,000 EUR
Construction site toilet 1,000 EUR
Construction fence 1,800 EUR
Construction road 1,400 EUR
Batter boards 800 EUR
1.2 Earthworks 5,900 EUR
Topsoil 700 EUR
Excavation of foundation pit 600 EUR
Excavation 300 EUR
Soil movements, grading 200 EUR
Main piping 1,400 EUR
Soil installation 1,500 EUR
Manhole 100 EUR
Pipe trench excavation 1,100 EUR
1.3 Grounding works 1,600 EUR
Foundation earth electrode 1,600 EUR
1.4 Concrete works 17,500 EUR
Blinding layer 1,000 EUR
Separation layers 300 EUR
Foundation slab 4,800 EUR
Embedded parts foundation 1,300 EUR
Formwork 700 EUR
Reinforcement 4,500 EUR
Openings - EUR
Insulation 5,000 EUR

Total price without VAT
30,000 EUR
Value-added tax 19% 5,800 EUR
Total price with VAT 35,800 EUR

I would be very interested in your opinion on this, as we have no experience. Of course, the offers from the trades are decisive for this, but well ... we are simply curious.

Best regards

For 1000 euros, you can rent a construction site toilet for more than a year. At least here.

Regarding your question: Yes, it can fit, but it doesn't have to. But nobody can answer that generally, especially what should one estimate for 300-euro items? And what exactly do you expect from this forum?

I can only advise you on two things from my experience.

1) Have trust in the cost estimate of the architect.
2) Hire external expertise to examine point 1 in detail.

Whether point 2 makes sense, you have to decide.

Yes, I see positions like construction site toilets completely unemotionally. After all, the companies will submit their offers for these.

It wasn’t about the individual positions of 300,- but about your feeling whether the total positions are within a reasonable range. There is trust in the architect – even though the cost estimates sometimes don't seem entirely comprehensible. But we still have the offer situation of the trades for this.

We are excited and looking forward to the construction. When you can get even a bit more information from experts like you, it has never hurt in the past.

Then my suggestion is a cup of coffee and patience, wait for offers and then you will see where you stand.

Everything else is currently just impatience. You need to become muuuuch more relaxed.

The worst time of impatience is the drying period after the screed. Believe me... Our starts tomorrow. L

Don’t make such a fuss, just make yourself light and carefully go over to check
