That's why I say, if 7530, then as a router. Not as a modem.

As far as I understand, I will receive the corresponding modem from Telekom, right? I accordingly need a router (which I can connect behind the modem) where I can enter the access data. As access points, I have now installed the Devolos (respect to Rick!! That you can remember that!). According to Telekom, we can get up to 1GB. However, we will stay with a 100MB connection (possibly max 250MB). That is enough for us!

don't spread false information here now. Everything was resolved. The modem is provided free of charge by Telekom. Nevertheless, you need an FTTH router. There is also a list on the Telekom website showing which ones work.

I am only referring to my inquiries with Telekom in the context of our originally planned FFTH connection. This was explained to me a few weeks ago. If this is not correct, I withdraw my statements.

My experience with the connection:

The cable comes from the multi-branch to the Telekom handover box. A handover socket is connected to this via fiber optic for the modem. The modem also requires a power outlet. Your router is connected to the modem via a LAN cable. We had not directly planned an additional power outlet for the modem, and the server cabinet was several meters away. Luckily, we were still able to have the modem placed in the server cabinet. Telekom apparently has guideline values for how long the individual cable lengths between the boxes can be via fiber optic.

Fiber optic lines can/may initially be around 20 km long ... so that probably wasn’t the issue. In any case, I would recommend using a standard router—ideally without WLAN—and using the Telekom modem. This offers the advantage that no discussions about compatibility arise and also that the WLAN APs can be placed where they make sense, which is typically not in the HAR or even a basement.

Apart from that, of course, any current Fritz!Box can be used as a simple router, but I would only do this if one is already available.
