Depending on the number, you can certainly manage something. For example, you could place only 4 switches centrally side by side/one below the other and 2 more centrally between 2 windows. If you think about it, you can certainly find a sensible placement of the switches without it becoming a visual debacle. In my opinion, a great idea to save money on central control (way too expensive for my taste).

Central control requires cables from all windows to the control unit and additionally cables and switches at the windows.

I do not want to have 10 switches in one place but only one.

In the granny flat, I have the solution with switches in 2 places. It was considerably cheaper.

The OP does not tell us how many windows per floor or room are to be equipped with blinds.

Of course - the central control is naturally the "premium version." I find the solution with multiple switches at different central locations a good compromise - without extra costs. It always depends on how many windows on a floor are affected, etc.

For us, it actually makes sense, as we only have 6 electric blinds in a spacious living-dining-kitchen area - can be nicely divided between 2 central locations.

I have not read all the pages, therefore my prices

the "normal" roller shutters were included in the scope of work description, the upgrade to electric costs us 290 euros each.

on the ground floor we get a central control which costs 990 euros.

And on everything an additional 19% [Märchensteuer] ..

If you want it simple, just prepare the electrics and install the motors in the roller shutters yourself. Then put a Shelly 2.5 behind each switch and you have a better solution than an overpriced 'central control'. It costs a fraction of the quoted prices, the effort is very manageable. You just have to plug in and wire the motors while the boxes are still easily accessible, so before plastering/painting. You can retrofit Shellys anytime at your convenience.

Our builder charged an additional €6250 for 10 windows for the electric shutters - with 2* manual opening options for emergency exit, without central control (I will convert it myself later with Shellys or something like that).
