Cost of electric roller shutters for an entire single-family house

I thought of something like that because it would be the simplest implementation. Of course, more is possible, but then it costs more, and saving (additional) costs was the OP's motto.

In my opinion, apart from the costs, there is no reasonable counterargument. For example, I only have electric blinds on the ground floor.

I am currently trying to talk my wife out of electric roller shutters for our planned new build, as they are probably very expensive.

They are probably not as expensive as you think. The comfort gain of electric roller shutters, on the other hand, is enormous, if you generally need/want the shutters.

I press for 2 seconds. But only at the central control. By now, there is surely something like that already with more electronics in the smart home.

I maybe press 5 times a year, the rest of the time everything always moves automatically into the position as needed.

In my new building, the blinds are connected to the KNX actuator, so hopefully hardly any pressing is needed anymore (weather station) and if so, then centrally or via the phone

Why actually a central control? I can install all the switches in one place, right? There are no extra costs and I just press all the switches "more or less at once" and all the blinds go down? This way I save the central control, which I think would have cost over €1,000 for us.

We pay €260.00 for one electric blind. We need 6 for our ground floor kitchen-living-dining area.

In my opinion, except for cost, there is no reasonable counterargument.

We are also planning electric blinds only on the ground floor, even only in the living-dining-kitchen area :)

I can install all the switches in one place, can't I?

But I would strongly depend on the number of switches. Large "switch batteries" are not exactly a highlight visually in my opinion.
