ps.. if you have a proper chimney and a DIBT stove, you can do without the air pressure monitor, it then has exactly -zero- use. You only need an LDW if you have an exhaust hood with external ventilation in a controlled residential ventilation system, not with recirculation.

I would agree with you there, our chimney sweep would not!

He says that only has to do with the stove, not with the [Dunstabzugshaube].

Why should you then get a DIBT-approved stove? Some manufacturers charge up to 500 bucks more for the same stove with a DIBT certificate... Even though it's the same stove. You can also save that if you still need a pressure monitor. I think I'll contact my chimney sweep again just to be safe...

In the past, the Germans had an emperor and the energy costs in relation to income and comfort needs had a significantly different dimension/meaning!

Best regards.

The chimney sweep sees it differently. Only if the controlled residential ventilation system cannot generate a negative pressure greater than 8Pa is a pressure monitor not required. This is the recommendation that has been sent to all chimney sweeps in this country. Recommendation - not mandatory! Unfortunately, the chimney sweep has the final say.

Yes, does this now apply generally, that is, both for extractor hoods with recirculation and with exhaust air?
