On the topic of speakers:
I have already considered installing a built-in speaker in the ceiling suspension.
I will probably plan a power outlet during the renovation instead and place an Amazon Alexa somewhere up there.
That way, I can easily control music and lighting, even if I happen to be lying in the bathtub.

Whether my idea is feasible is hard to say.
The experts will have to assess that, or you can help me with it ;-)

We have a tiled shaft about 15x15cm in the corner of the shower (plan upper left).
I am quite sure that this is the waste pipe since the bathroom upstairs is directly above it.

Plan left, behind the wall, we installed a wardrobe in the niche. As usual, it is located at the entrance / "reception" sounds so royal :-D

To the right behind the wall is our new kitchen.

Do you really think the flush tank can be built into the wall?
I should take a look at shorter toilets, but that would definitely make sense.
Do you have any idea how I can design the wall between the toilet and washbasin so that it contains a pull-out pharmacy cabinet for bath utensils, etc.?

The drywall construction would then have to be built by the professional according to a given "interior", correct?

This is the downpipe at the top left. The problem is to achieve a slope from the new toilet to the downpipe, i.e., along the wall with a bend. Remove the screed in the area of the new shower and gain depth. The shower also needs to find space. It will not be level. Regarding the partition wall: does the wall there have a load-bearing function? It is possible if you support it, reduce the size of the shoe cabinet, possibly build a parallel wall, etc.

I have attached the official floor plan. The (load-bearing) wall between the kitchen and living room has already been removed. The wall between the hallway and the WC is, I believe, not load-bearing. However, we have had a dresser made by the carpenter installed in this niche. It will be quite difficult to get it out again. We will probably prefer the option to install the WC with an additional pre-wall and look for the shortest possible WC version. Unfortunately, I don't know how this is supposed to work with the drain pipe and the slope... I hope our professional has a not too complicated idea about it. How does it actually work with the underfloor heating? Does it have to be removed under the bathtub? The currently existing shower in the top left corner is already level with the floor. I hope we can manage to keep it that way in the future as well. If not, we will have to install a shower tray.

If red is supposed to represent the current WC drain, you should be able to see some of it in the bathroom.

Is there a basement under the floor? Then it would also be conceivable that the WC drain currently goes straight down at the top right of the plan and is then offset there.

By the way, I do not find this current planning status very practical, but would continue planning with:

A door opening outwards is necessary in both plans anyway.

Hi everyone,

Due to uncertainty about how to design the bathroom, we kept postponing the project. But I’m happy to share with you how we finally completed the project last fall. Thanks for all the input! Always very much appreciated!

I hope it’s unnecessary to say which photo is the new and which is the old bathroom :-D

But you can’t recognize any of the floor plans there.
