In the neighboring town, someone had a single-family house with 56 m² of living space built, which is why I first considered a very similar construction project. ...A few years ago, a house for me was still a building with at least 100-120 m² of living space and at least 4 rooms, but since I am no longer sure if I will need more living space later, I prefer to build smaller with the option to expand.
The pure living space of a small house compared to a small apartment: - no communal basement or attic.
- The hallway must be larger because it functions as a windbreak
- Bathroom/utility room must be large enough due to building technology
Otherwise, I actually only see advantages in a small house compared to a small apartment: + no trouble with neighbors, since I will have more than 10 m distance from the house to the end of the property if I have the house built approximately in the middle of the lot
+ no rent increases
+ enough space for a pool etc. (which I also find very important)
