There are definitely companies in Saxony that build for >2,000€... It is always a question of what you want or whether you are willing to pay a premium for no additional value.

Does it possibly make sense as someone from Baden-Württemberg to inquire with Saxon construction companies? I know some who drive west for construction.

"No added value" is also wrong... there are many details and gimmicks that cost a lot of money but have rather little return. Also cleanliness in execution, etc.

That depends on the construction service descriptions; in this case, in my opinion, there was no added value. The cheaper provider or sqm price of €1,600 is currently with an architect where you can, of course, freely choose or contribute your trades.

An architect estimates costs... this is hardly comparable to providers who offer you fixed price quotes. At least the layperson has no way of assessing what you get in the mix of Recognized Rules of Technology, DINs, and [Bauleistungsbeschreibung]... if the [Bauleistungsbeschreibung] even goes into detail about the execution.
