What is called luxury here. Luxury for me is what you find in Grünwald or on the Elbchaussee. Simple standard is found in rental apartments. I think that overall we are playing at most in the middle class here and maybe can talk about the upper middle class if, accordingly, bathrooms, kitchen, floor coverings, and airy building fabric are given.

I think we are mostly playing in the mid-range here at most, and maybe we can talk about upper mid-range if there are appropriate bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, and airy building fabric.

From a global perspective, all the houses presented or discussed here are luxury. Otherwise, on a smaller scale, I agree with Bauexperte, luxury is very individual. For me, luxury is having space... in terms of room in the house. I am completely uninterested in technical gimmicks, but I can really get enthusiastic about high-quality building materials and solid and clean workmanship. For me, that is luxury, and I am happy to be able to afford it. I am aware that there are much more expensive properties, but the definition of luxury is not determined for me by maybe 0.5% of the world population.

It is nice and above all understandable when one reveals here what luxury subjectively means. In this thread - as well as in numerous other threads in a house building forum - it primarily serves as an objective comparative feature to represent construction costs (or a way to express one's pride).
