Connecting Ikea Folklig cooktop

Hello,

I have had a Folklig cooktop for several weeks, which is missing the connection cable. Ikea's statement on this is that such cables are never supplied (there is still one connected to the oven). However, the connection on the cooktop is not with standardized terminals, but with two two-pole flat connectors each. The electrician's statement regarding this cable is that he cannot obtain it; it should have been supplied by the manufacturer.

The manufacturer does have the cables as spare parts but refuses to send one. I can't be the first person to buy this cooktop; does anyone know what the normal situation is?

Hello I also have the Folklig cooktop and there was no cable included either. And to my knowledge, none belongs with it. The Folklig is a standalone cooktop; it does not require a stove or oven. What stove do you have? The cooktop is normally connected to the power outlet on the wall; it does not need to be connected to the stove. Best regards Section Chief

Hello, that's exactly what I want, to connect the cooktop to the wall. I took a photo of the connection panel, my only question is how to connect it to the stove connection on the wall:

The cable is supplied - just like the brackets and the sealing tape. It is 2*2 cores 1*1 by the way - see the instructions (not the assembly instructions).

See page 8 of the installation manual. Go to customer service, hold the page under their nose and tell them to take care of it because Whirlpool does not want to send you the cable.

Thank you for the answers. Funny enough, in my assembly instructions on this page only the brackets and the sealing tape are shown, but no cable. However, we have actually received one from Whirlpool now, so all is well.

(Bis auf den Elektriker der es in zwei Stunden(!) nicht geschafft hat, das Kabel an die Herddose anzuklemmen)
