Ai der Daus :) What has happened with you all so far?
I'll list what I currently have on the slate, what is going to the general contractor :)
- rigid slab foundation (1.2k)
- dirt and rainwater drain (3.5k)
- larger roof overhang (1.5k)
- raised ceilings on the ground floor and upper floor (2.5k)
- electric exterior roller shutters (approx. 7k)
- sliding lift-and-slide doors in the living room instead of "normal" patio doors (extra charge for 3 pieces approx. 9k)
- 2 glass side panels at the front door (700 €)
- different interior doors (1k)
- wall-running interior sliding door (1.5k)
- widening of the first stair step (banal but still costs 250 €)
- walk-in shower (instead of shower tray, 700 €)
- gas connection and socket for gas fireplace (1k)
- roof access window (1k)
- additional exterior water taps (600 €)
- some roof tiles because of the satellite system (200 €) my husband insists on that ..
Additionally approx. 9k for extra sockets, exterior lighting, underground cables in the garden, high-voltage connection, network and TV connections, spots (not in concrete ceiling)
As mentioned, 12k for the gas fireplace
Currently, we estimate about 10k for tiles/sanitary, we haven't reached that yet.
Furthermore, our calculation still lacks the outdoor facilities (paving + entrance steps, patio roof + awning, hedges/fence, possibly L-stones), incidental construction costs (we estimate about 30k for 390 sqm land), painter and flooring work, kitchen and possibly some new furniture, carport and entrance roof + exterior lighting ..
And it somehow keeps adding up, because after all, "you only build once".. :D
Edit: we are still building at "quite reasonable" prices, but even we will go about 15% over our planned total budget ..
So everything that is said in the forum and (which I initially thought) applies to many but not to us, is now applying to us too, good that we took it all in here in the forum, so the shock isn't so deep ;)
