Surcharge for differently colored front door has to do with quantity discounts:
That is nonsense anyway, because we are mostly talking about PVC doors here, and "anthracite" doors are also white and merely laminated. Charging 2,300 euros for that is clearly a princely paid 300 euros for the lamination and 2,000 euros roughly half/half as a defense surcharge and as sauna club house price for an ordinary funfair beer.
We see it exactly the same way
Concrete staircase more expensive than steel stringer staircase:
The "crane" solution is very likely the bullseye here. Shuttering concrete stairs has become exceptionally "out of fashion" alone due to skilled labor shortage, but the concrete staircase as a precast element cannot just be carried in by two movers like the piano from mom in Massachusetts, but may require a separate crane appointment (including road closure and all other fuss). The parts for the steel stringer staircase require only a small vehicle crane. And: there's both a shift in thinking, as well as the metalworker being idle here, since he is not needed for the installation of a concrete staircase.
Makes sense and we would have expected to get such information for the sake of transparency and trust from the general contractor’s consultant – but we did not. They just say: Yes, it simply costs more!
Thank you 11ant for the valuable contributions.
