Now I know where the confusion comes from. The wording still comes from the questionnaire itself. I did not delete it. I am actually a blank slate in this regard.

Hi, I find your design already very successful. In particular, I can well imagine the wellness area in the basement living room. The atrium would certainly be very useful for this. I also really like the spacious common room! Great design! One idea to structure the living space: You could also place a room-divider fireplace to the right of the living room door. Then the areas are a bit more separated and you can see the stove/fireplace from both the dining table and the living room. However, I cannot see how much space there is to the right of the door. More than 4 meters?

The fireplace in the corner was also a consideration. Unfortunately, there are only just under 4 meters to the right of the door... Something will surely be found. I think the bigger problem is the upper floor during the day.

Mmmh, I’ve been thinking about this all the time, but when I look at our three children, they couldn’t care less about the orientation of the rooms. You could also argue that the southern exposure is much less appreciated by children during the years they live in the house. For example, our teenager hardly ever stands in front of the window to enjoy the view. The two other little ones don’t either. If we’re lucky, they’ll raise the blinds. :) On the other hand, I would enjoy it every single day. However, I cannot judge where the prime spot is in terms of the view. You have to decide that yourselves. Based on my gut feeling, I would keep the room layout as it is if you at least somewhat appreciate the southern exposure. Your children probably won’t and will rather complain about warm children’s rooms if that becomes an issue.

Prime location clearly facing south. I can absolutely understand your thoughts. I just have to think about my own childhood / youth. I probably wouldn’t have even known which direction my room faced :D Unfortunately, the problem with the drains from the bathroom remains.
