Everyone reluctantly pays taxes, no matter which ones. And yes, unfortunately, a lot is wasted. But on the whole, we Germans should not complain at this point. I am happy to be named a country where it works much better.

A bit OFFTOPIC: But be glad that it’s like that for you. Unfortunately, not here. My wife (a city daycare worker) told me a few days ago that they received an annual budget of 100 EUR for their new! nursery group. Only items from a special catalog may be purchased for the group room. For example, there are pillows in the size of 30x30 for 39 EUR (3 EUR at Ikea). Any questions?

Every euro of tax for this current country Germany is one euro too much! I’d rather go shopping myself and donate to the daycare!

And Steffen... you as a self-proclaimed millionaire, how many euros did you donate last year?

Currently, the rivers are being equipped with terraces costing several million euros so that one can also view the murky broth up close.

They did that here two years ago. Currently, the grass is so tall that the terraces are not visible.
