Even the typical banker family with 2 children and as the sole earner of working age would be happy with the 3 in front.

Um, sorry but in my opinion you have an above-average income, 100k equity, if things go badly 40 years to pay off, currently extremely low interest rates.....I mean, what is that supposed to be? Of course you can build!!

link removed; construction expert

With a €500,000 project, the average earner won't get far, or rather, the bank won't cooperate. But again: it depends on many other factors!

You are above that, and with a few bonuses and the Christmas bonus it should work without any restrictions in everyday life. Even without them it would work, but personally, I would consider it too tight.

Well, this statistic does not take into account civil servants, nor the self-employed, certainly no politicians, and definitely no income from [V+V] or capital...

So not necessarily the average.

The link referred to the average gross income, which corresponds to just under €2,000 net depending on the tax class. However, in addition to the group not considered as mentioned by Tox, not every household has 2 earners, so the average household net income is likely to be different from 2x €2,000.

You can't say that so generally. Take one of the big ones from the affordable segment, keep everything to the ideal standard, small plot... it always depends on the requirements.
