Sorry, but that's comparing apples and oranges. We planted about 90m of hedge/bushes, trees, flower beds, vegetable beds, etc. there's just not much for one fifty.

If you make a rock garden with lawn, it's not right, if you lay out a garden, it's not right. Those smart alecks should really come to an agreement ;)

Well, I don't care, you can also easily spill 1000m3. I just find it pretty heavy. But with your amounts, I would really consider using rainwater. It pays off within a few years.

The problem with the cistern is that it runs empty quickly with high consumption. I noticed this myself; watering grass seed during a good month without rain is just not something that can be done from the cistern. Then there were also 5 cubic meters from the main supply needed. Although now I would be smart enough not to water seed on a south-facing slope anymore. You can't compete with sun and east wind there.

The real question is a different one. How much of the consumption will remain in the future? It's one thing if you use a few cubic meters per summer for the vegetable bed and another if you get through watering the whole garden with just 3-4 months.

It does not pay off even with high demand. You still don't have more rainwater available.

Unfortunately, it only fills up through rain. If it doesn't rain, nothing fills up either.
