Definitely exactly that. Normally, the wastewater volume equals the fresh water volume, and that matches quite well. Obviously, the beer comes into the house in the bottle and goes out through the sewage system, but that doesn't matter. However, if you operate the washing machine and toilet with it, then it looks a bit different. But I would ask again about the retention volume. 6 cbm seems quite a lot to me; if you want a combined cistern there, you end up with at least 10 cbm.
