Build the kitchen yourself?

Hello, I would like to buy a new kitchen, but I want to try to assemble it myself. Is that difficult or can you do it even if you've never done it before? And how is it with the electrical appliances, do I just have to plug them in or how does it work with the connections? Questions upon questions, I hope someone here knows about it?!

Hi Bobo, it is no problem to assemble a kitchen yourself, only the countertops I would have cut to size. Because that is a thing where it has to be very precise. And the stove needs an electrician, it is connected to high voltage and you better stay away from it if you don't want to risk your life.

Hello, so I tried it myself but then I had to get someone to finish it. It is not a problem to assemble the cabinets, but when it comes to hanging them straight on the wall, it becomes difficult. I would get someone to help you if you get stuck.

Hi, I bought a kitchen at Ikea and you have to assemble everything yourself. That was quite an ordeal, I can tell you, I was exhausted afterwards. Nothing fit and then it turned out that the floor in the kitchen was not completely level. In the end, I hired a carpenter who helped me. That was the first and last time I tried to do it myself :(

We immediately got someone who helped us. Also, you cannot connect the stove and sink yourself; that should always be done by a professional. But assembling cabinets and things like that, you can definitely do it yourself if you don’t have two left hands.
