Thank you, I will do that. I also don't understand why only copper is being installed and not fiber optic right away. Curious to see what Telekom says.

Copper has already reached its capacitive limits today, and the current standards can only be implemented with distribution boxes near one's own house. With fiber optics, you get at heute a maximum of 200 MBit/s from Telekom as well, but this is due to Telekom's configuration. Technically, there are no limits compared to this. So far, researchers have managed to transmit up to 1.01 petabits per second, with even higher rates technically conceivable. Therefore, the difference is not to be found in the here and now, but in future viability :)

VF has agreed to expand their network for you? I really can’t imagine that. You can certainly be supplied by your neighbor. However, you need to lay fiber optic cables and not copper. Corresponding hardware is required for that. Are you aware of this?

I would have VF guarantee that VF takes over all rights and obligations including easements, i.e., you build the cable at your own expense and VF then takes over the line, thus also being responsible for maintenance from then on. There are also so-called protection strips around the cable that must be kept free from construction so that access is possible in the event of damage.

Development carriers do not do it any differently: a road is built with all supply lines, etc. and when everything is finished, the city symbolically purchases it for 1€ and subsequently assumes the traffic safety obligation.

Of course, the question is whether it is worth it for 2 houses. However, if more neighbors join in, it can only be done that way – otherwise, you yourself are responsible for maintaining the line and then you have to build reserves for it, i.e., generate income, i.e., collect monthly fees, etc., because basically you are then a franchise of VF.

Best regards Dirk Grafe

It might be possible to set it up as an association. We used to have many such cable communities for supplying radio and television.
