Who exactly is doing what? Who makes a completion report?

With us, the energy supplier, the person in charge of gas and electricity, has taken over the coordination with the waterworks and telecom. All 4 utilities were installed shortly before Christmas. For electricity, gas, and water, the bills had already arrived some time ago. All three meters arrived this month, everything can be put into operation. But nothing from the telecom.

Does that mean a completion report is missing? And who has to make it? I would like to have phone/internet by April.

The Telekom or the subcontractor will hang the APL in your house. As soon as this happens, they must send a completion report to Telekom - otherwise, nothing happens. This was overlooked or done very late in our case. As soon as the report is with Telekom, it is entered into the system. This takes additional time. Only then is your connection actually switchable. Call Telekom and ask if the feedback is already available.

We received a letter about the completion. I think that was a few weeks after the network operator had installed the telephone connection. They are way slower there than the other providers. Shortly afterwards, there was a call asking if we already had a tariff. Final installation can be done within 3 weeks, according to information. However, it will only be commissioned by us at the beginning of February, so I can't say anything about that yet.

Thank you. The next topic is then, with which provider the tariff will be ordered. I actually want the first tariff to be from Telekom itself for safety's sake. In case something in the ground is broken and there is another provider involved - good night. And then there is the question of whether it makes sense to choose a tariff that entitles one to a credit of 400 EUR.

So I think you will hardly find another rate that is cheaper than Telekom, if you include the 400€ credit. It is quite a hefty chunk. Therefore, in my opinion, take it and reconsider after 2 years. Everything else is financially pointless, and I also think that switching with an existing line is easier than switching to a completely different provider.

I see it the same way with the existing line. The only problem is that I have to buy some stuff I don't want to reach the 400 EUR (Magenta TV stuff).
