Most financing structures don’t even take the Baukindergeld into account. I have firmly planned it three times so that the 10-year loan portion is close to zero at the end of its interest rate lock. As far as I know, applications could be submitted retroactively from 01.01.2018.

Nevertheless, hardly any applications have been approved and money paid out so far. I suspect that all the borderline cases from the first 1.5 or 0.5 years are still pending, for example the family member purchases as mentioned here in the thread. Hence also the new guidelines finally now.
