That does not seem to correspond to the truth to me. There are official figures as of [30.04.2019], i.e. shortly after the start of the application processing. Of 83,000 applications, 8,000 had been decided and 4,200 paid out for the first time. I do not find that so bad, since the accumulated number of applications remained unprocessed for months.

Maybe I am blond ... But how should that work with an intermediate purchase through a "straw man"? The person probably won't have 190,000 euros saved up - then there would probably be enormous prepayment penalties in addition to double notary costs and double property transfer tax - right?

Um - why should this someone not have 190,000 euros lying around? Several come to mind immediately from my acquaintances. Some even have significantly more. The interim sale can be significantly lower due to the prepayment penalties. What matters is that 190,000 euros are estimated in the end. If you have enough children, there is still quite a bit left at the end. But the best is to get divorced on paper. The wife who is then no longer related can buy. After some time, you can marry again on paper. It is the best and safest way. The KfW can hardly allege or prove anything against that. But whatever - those were thoughts out of frustration. It is not an option anyway
