With normal awnings and vertical awnings, I hope it won't get too hot in the summer... In our bedroom, we have provisioned connections for an air conditioning unit, so we can retrofit one if we really can't stand it, we'll see. I hope a little bit, since the house is built into the hillside, that it will cool from the "back." At the moment, we also live in a terrace apartment like this and it is actually quite pleasant in summer...

I like that you mitigated the black overkill in the kitchen with the bright pieces. What motivated you to choose these specific ventilation flaps?

We have the light floor, so a bit of black is certainly okay. The entire entrance area on the ground floor, the fireplace, and the TV wall will also be done in black; I’m really curious to see how it will look then ... The ventilation flaps are wood on the inside (the same as used throughout the house) and metal on the outside – that was the architect’s idea – otherwise, from the outside, we would have seen three floors (or rather four) stacked with only glass fronts. I think the rooms feel cozier from the inside too, but it’s also a matter of taste.

The wood veneers on the island are different. I would criticize that.
