Who has experience with parquet flooring in the kitchen?

That only shows that one cannot handle it and that the wood could not withstand the requirements of a kitchen, which are different from those of a living room. Carpet in the kitchen would wear out even faster than parquet; this step does not make sense to me.

10mm parquet thickness or entire construction? Prefinished parquet starts at 10mm. Plus adhesive, so that the total construction is thicker. Why not more than 10mm? By the way, the dog doesn’t care about the parquet. As long as you use reasonably hard wood, the dog also doesn’t care about the parquet (lastly had oiled oak with a Bernese Mountain Dog - no problems).

In the kitchen it just has to be sealed then it works. But yes of course it is not everyone's thing.
