Hello everyone,

we are currently in the process of gutting our new apartment and would now like to start planning the bathroom. We have some challenges regarding how to sensibly divide the space and hope for your support.

I am attaching the floor plans of the apartment. Our goal would be to accommodate a guest toilet – if possible and sensible due to space constraints. There is the option to enlarge the bathroom by about 25 cm, so the wall moves further into the kitchen.

The most important requirements for the bathroom are:

[*]Toilet (ideally also a urinal, if feasible)
    [*]Large washbasin with mirrored cabinet
[*]Walk-in shower (at least 1x1 m, preferably larger)
    [*]Bathtub
    [*]Towel radiator
[*]Preferably niches, e.g., in the shower as storage
[*]Sufficient space for a shelf and a laundry basket

The window height in the bathroom is about 95 cm above the finished floor, so installing a toilet at this location is fundamentally possible. There is also a 10 cm thick partition wall running along the entire wall. In the bathroom wall, there are 2 x DN110 HT pipes in the corners on the window side. Thanks to the raised floor and the suspended ceiling in the bathroom below, the pipes can be routed almost anywhere.

The entrance to the bathroom can be changed to create a rectangular room if this looks more aesthetically pleasing.

If there are any creative ideas for space-saving or particularly functional designs, we would be very grateful! We are open to suggestions and would appreciate your experiences.

Many thanks in advance!

For how many people should the bathroom be?

Can you please mark them on the drawing?

Well, and where is this conduit running now? I assume the bathroom is supposed to be the left room? How can you reroute the door there?

Further inside. I am also interested in the partition.

Should this fit somewhere in the bathroom? Maybe an overall floor plan of the apartment would be useful and not just selectively chosen areas.

The blue circles in the planned drywall structure.

The drywall does not exist yet, it was only planned because of the sewer pipes, to hide them.
It is planned to be on the exterior wall.
The door could simply be shifted inward, if that makes sense/looks better.

Exactly, but only if it makes sense.
I think it is wasted space.
Unfortunately, the bathroom & toilet can only be placed there, because of the sewer system.
