Regarding the previous post. The sat. doors can also be omitted.

I like the door slightly into the bathroom better.

There is also room for a towel rack behind the door.

In my opinion, a separate toilet cannot work with only one door. That’s why my contribution #12 includes a separate toilet. A small sink can also fit in there.

Pictures and plans of the existing layout are often helpful as well.

The separate toilet is usable but not nice. With a sliding door that can be closed when visitors are there.

The house was built in 1960 and the bathroom has hardly been renovated since then, so there really aren’t any plans anymore.
It was actually originally a guest toilet and a bathroom, but we removed all the partition walls.

We will get new furniture anyway, so we’re not really tied to anything.
The front wall is actually just there to hide the two drainpipes running upwards; this can then be used directly as a niche by the bathtub.
The stairs will be about 80 cm wide and are only for accessing the bedrooms in the attic.
The attic is separated again and there is also the stairwell.

Thank you very much for all your suggestions! But we will skip the separate toilet and use the space for a relatively large bathroom.
Would you even include a urinal in the bathroom? As someone else already mentioned, it’s not really a visual highlight.
What is the price range for a "standard" bathroom of this size?

The complete floor structure will be redone, yes. For the shower, we will get those tileable panels with a channel, since we will be installing a dry screed.

This is exactly fitting, to design this front hallway area almost like a WC and separate the rest with a sliding door. The bathroom won't be bigger if you don't do that. I would rather think about the bathtub. Because you can see that it will be more space-saving tubs etc. Therefore... how tall are you? How big would the tub need to be? And would it be used often?
