Hello Following questions are on my mind right now: I overheard somewhere that besides the 16cm baseboards there are also ones with 22cm height. Does anyone know where I can find them on the Ikea site? Which legs do I need for the cabinets with 22cm high baseboards? How do I then install the dishwasher, does it have to stand on some kind of pedestal?

Regarding base drawers? Is it correct that Ikea only offers base drawers for 60cm carcasses and not for 80cm width? Can base drawers also be used for 60cm wide tall cabinets? The Ikea online planner does not offer this option. They are only selectable for base cabinets. Can base drawers be used for 22cm high baseboards?

One more addition

A dishwasher can be placed on the countertop cutout of the sink or cooktop, that's okay.

For tall cabinets, no plinth drawer for appliance cabinets due to ventilation, this has already been mentioned.

For 80 cm cabinets, you can install two additional legs, spaced as with the 60 cm cabinet, and click the drawer guide onto them. But definitely use additional ones, because the legs are mounted so that they extend over the side walls of the carcass, and the load is not only supported by the floor.
However, if the cabinet is properly connected to the countertop and neighboring cabinets, nothing should happen anyway.

As always, thank you very much for your answers!

I actually have to ask Ikea because the 22cm baseboards are not available on the Ikea Austria website. Also, in the Austrian online planner, you can only select the 16cm baseboards, while in the German planner 16 and 22cm are available. I therefore suspect that the 22cm baseboards will not be available in Austria.

IKEA expert, you answered yes to the question regarding the base drawer for 22cm baseboards. I checked at Ikea Germany, there is only one base drawer and it is 8.3cm high. In the assembly instructions it can be seen that the drawer rests on a roller at the bottom and that the baseboard is supposed to have a width of 13.8cm. How is the base drawer mounted for the 22cm baseboards?

Zetterberg, you are right: With the normal tall cabinet without appliances (e.g. FA527), the planner does offer the base drawer. The idea to use the base drawers with additional legs for 80cm cabinets is good.

I have now also checked Metod, where there are no base drawers in the program at all, but the baseboard there is only 8cm high.

Best regards

I therefore suspect that the 22cm plinths will not be available in Austria at all.

If you are very tall, I would rather get the 21cm plinth from Germany than be annoyed for many years about a work height that is too low. If it becomes METOD, one can only hope that higher legs will come. For some customers in the fitted kitchen country Germany, the absence of a second work height may be a dealbreaker.

I checked at Ikea Germany, there is only one plinth drawer and it is 8.3cm high. The assembly instructions show that the drawer rests on the floor with a roller and that the plinth is supposed to have a width of 13.8cm.
How does one install the plinth drawer for 22cm plinths?

RATIONELL drawers have a frame height of 83 mm, except for the oven drawer, which is 68 mm. The rails for the plinth drawer are only attached at the front to the legs. Without a roller, the drawer would tilt when pulled out. However, there has been a design flaw from the start that has never been fixed. The roller is too small and one has to place a small board between the roller and the floor.
An aluminum front is supplied. On this, one can mount a piece of plinth panel to create a uniform plinth. But the aluminum sheet can also be left out and a piece of plinth panel mounted directly. This is also done with the 21cm plinth.

I just checked Metod, there are no plinth drawers in the program at all, but the plinth is only 8cm high there.
Exactly, with 8cm there is no more space. If at some point a higher plinth is offered only for Germany, it is probably not to be expected that there will be a plinth drawer again.
