here is the thing: I do not begrudge anyone anything here. But for me, the statements are not plausible. That could be changed quite easily, but it does not happen. And it does not have to – why should Steffen have to be accountable here, one could argue. On the other hand, no one can accuse me and others of not showing (from our perspective) a healthy skepticism.

Regardless, I would of course be interested in what such a house looks like, what is inside, etc. I openly admit that I would like to see photos – but not because it is Steffen’s house, or because I think he has to prove something here.

Look into my history... I have listed more detailed breakdowns of the costs (and the extras) a few times and described how the total sum is composed. The appearance of the house is quite unassuming and without much architectural "fuss." Definitely understatement in our surroundings, and 1800..2200 EUR per sqm (depending on whether you count certain things) per sqm truly also in the mid-price range.

What makes it expensive is the plot (~330k) and certainly some extras like the expensive garage, building with an architect, KNX, expensive bathroom etc.

The question is, why not?

For me, it all seems plausible already, and I don’t believe he is a fake. However, if he were standing in front of me face to face, I would call him a nouveau riche. And that is what is so annoying about him. I bet two cases of beer that there are more than just a handful of people here who have the bigger bank account. They just don’t brag about it. Why would they? Nobody really cares. Except . Everyone can be proud of having made money through their own efforts. But that always involves not only effort but also a good dose of luck. And that is why decency demands that you do not behave like Croesus. His attack on me from my post expresses pure envy, leading me to the sole conclusion that he is not acting very confidently. We are here on the internet; he has no idea who he is dealing with.

What does "neureich" actually mean? Someone new? Or the wealth new? What does rich actually mean? I don't feel rich and rather old...hmm..*thoughtful*

Oh and be so kind and show me the places where I "rum poste". That would interest me a lot. The mention of construction costs, financing & income is nothing unusual here.
