So my sister got 400k as 100% without any problems just with my brother-in-law's salary, he earns about as much as I do without civil servant status...

Uh, and sorry but I do think our salary is definitely above average! Then no one would be able to build anymore... In addition, we both have excellent disability insurance that also pays out in case of partial disability and in any case covers the gap between the pension entitlements earned and the current benefits... In addition, a term life insurance into which the house is included...

Thanks Caspar, well then let's find an agent... We are also currently still saving equity, the house isn't built in a day... Since we are only now dealing with the topic, the priorities last year were different than saving equity... For example, I have had to watch every penny for the last 15 years and it felt good to not have to think for a while whether I can buy this or that or not... Kfw 40 was the plan but maybe 55 is enough... Not to save money on energy in the short term but viewed long-term and also to move away from fossil fuels... In our cost calculation it only makes about 10k for the additional insulation... And that is covered by the grant...

Ok. I understand. My opinion is fixed, please do not confuse me with other views. Run and get the money....

then please don’t complain! Building without equity is not recommended. Not even for civil servants, although they are of course in a very good position. I still wouldn’t do it, 50..100k can be definitely saved up with the income..

How much load per month have you imagined?

Since corresponding rental apartments/houses would cost us on average around €1500-1800 cold here as well, more or less... My sister currently pays €1500 per month for the 400k, those were the two reference points we roughly oriented ourselves by... We are now trying to plan as much as possible in advance in order to present it to the bank as well-developed as possible... I think it's better to first have an idea of how much I roughly want from the bank before going to the various institutions instead of asking blindly: how much will we get, but having no idea about the other aspects...
