Yes, it says guest and office. I only put a bed in there so the proportions are clear and so it could be used as a guest room.
Oh, I interpreted that as a bedroom :)
Man, you really have to say that on page 1! How are we supposed to know? If I weren’t such a smooth and relaxed person, I’d be annoyed now.
Aside from that, are the elderly really supposed to crawl up to the attic every time?
What kind of heating is planned there actually and where is it supposed to be? As far as I know, a heat pump can only be installed on the ground floor and 2 sqm is not enough for that.
Sorry, that’s how people talk past each other so quickly :)
You could say then they won’t stay that long  No, seriously: they are still quite fit and that surely won’t be a problem for the next 10/15 years. They also don’t mind sleeping under a slant and having to crawl a bit. They live quite far away and when they come, it’s for a longer visit. So I’d like to leave them, for example, their own bathroom and some place for retreat. If it ever comes to the point that they can’t get up there anymore, we’ll have to think of something else. Possibly the bedrooms get swapped for a week or so, but until then there is plenty of time. It could of course also be that they won’t come anymore at an advanced age, then the question doesn’t arise.

Yes, an air heat pump, it stands in front of the house and the connection then goes into the pantry/utility room.
Apparently you can do that according to this:
