Yes, I know. But before the actual construction planning, we already had several meetings with the company, where further optimization took place. This then seamlessly transitioned into the construction planning. I actually prefer it that way, rather than if they had stubbornly worked only with the floor plan without at least mentioning their (good) ideas :)
The architect was the best starting point for our purposes because it was a low-threshold entry into house building. She transparently communicated that she would not be involved beyond the input planning; we just didn’t realize at the beginning that this was something we might have wanted. Without her, we also wouldn’t have found the construction company because they do not use the usual advertising channels. She had only heard of them and said after our conversations that they might fit us (but they are not affiliated). That’s why I hesitated for a long time whether to throw the name into the ring. She is creative, and she implemented our wishes well on a plan. It depends on what you expect from an architect, but as writes, it’s not quite clear what he actually wants. That’s why I believe the Traumhäuser series could also help here again, so that one better understands the whole system.
She is neither a stone nor a wood architect and the replanning had nothing to do with that either. They were only minor changes to the interior layout, which—when we then saw them—got the best out of the floor plan based on our development plan requirements.
