Hello everyone,
I'm just asking for help here :)
Our first Ikea kitchen is assembled except for the above-mentioned combo. Our problem is a block consisting of a domsjö sink including Metod base cabinet and right next to it the Skinande dishwasher. The challenge is that due to space constraints it must remain a standalone two-piece block, i.e. the sink on the left and the dishwasher immediately on the right. All of this between the wall on the left and the door on the right.
Since the sink needs a countertop, my solution would be the following: screw a piece of countertop (approx. 5 cm) on the left side of the base cabinet (so the sink can be installed on top), then attach the countertop continuously on the right side of the base cabinet flush with the lateral end of the dishwasher. Sink installed, and then cover the dishwasher on the right side with a cover panel.
Is something like this practical?
I would be very grateful for alternative suggestions.
Best regards
