I really think you are very sensitive . First the fireplace, now the roof windows...

We specifically planned a very large double casement window (114x140) in our tiny bedroom - right above the bed.

And yes, we have both slept for years in bedrooms with such windows - like tens of thousands of other people.

No hard feelings, I just found it kind of funny when I stumbled upon it

Well, everyone perceives things differently. I think it doesn't work and know many who think that way. I've also read it several times here in the [Form]. Double-wing windows are somehow always just a makeshift solution, in my opinion.

But that's how a children's room is in the East and one in the West... Ok, with the double casement window you of course also have it in the South... Hm well, as I said, it's not mine. :ka: I just find it too loud...

It's just an opinion - we deliberately included two because we find them nice, practical, and cozy.

And I also know plenty who feel the same way - so it's really a matter of taste

And there are even some that dampen the sound of rain.

I also always liked it as a child when the rain pounded on the roof windows and I was lying in the warm bed... it always made me feel safe.

We are currently also sleeping under skylight windows. I find it sometimes quite noisy, but it hasn't disturbed my sleep so far. It's really a matter of habit and depends on whether you are a deep sleeper. What bothers us more is that we ONLY have double casement windows in the bedroom and therefore cannot ventilate when it rains or snows heavily. That is really annoying and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
