I am glad to hear that. ___________________________________ Probably as a last question on this topic, I need to understand how it could be possible to include the 2 options we currently have as possible subdivision options (after the purchase of plots) in the purchase contract. Is it legally possible to include a site plan with both options (possibly with dimensions) and clearly state that the property will be actually subdivided in this way after the purchase, with the assigned options being preferred? Thanks again for the help so far. Best regards

If you ignore all warnings and walk down the aisle of the notary with the "partner," a decision should already have been made from the options... ... However, I still advise the third option, to send the "partner" away. You probably speak "German as a foreign language," so you might not be able to follow some formulations quickly, but: the core message should still have slowly reached you. It is: separate yourself from this so-called "partner," you are just a useful idiot to him!

But that is not the case. Semi-detached house partners are, as a court once put it in its reasoning, a long-term community of fate that relies on mutual special consideration. An agreement on the division is easy, the joint construction is difficult, and the hardest is living side by side wall to wall.

I don't think a purchase agreement can be concluded without having finally clarified how the sharing is to be done. How and when is that supposed to be decided otherwise?

That is possible, both simply acquire a share, for example 50/50 or 60/40. Then it is a joint ownership in undivided shares and each owns a portion of everything. There will then be additional notary and land registry fees when the actual division takes place.

Ok. But it's annoying if you can't agree already. Then there will be no option to withdraw anymore.
