According to the mayor, they decided on a "medium quality." Thanks anyway... I don't need gold leaf on the park bench.

Yes, as I said, then I hope everything is richly decorated with the finest materials so that people can always stroll along the streets cheerfully. :(

Why? Why should the municipality care about my "attitude" as long as I pay the interest dutifully and everyone else involved gets their money.

1. Wrong.
2. Correct. Therefore, if it doesn’t work out now (for whatever reason), we will be forced to move away. Then just as far as we can afford. Bitter, but there is no other way.

We first heard about the new development area and the allocation process in 2018. And it is only NOW being allocated. So we really couldn’t do anything about the delay. It’s just that several conditions have changed, which makes my blood pressure rise. But well... it doesn’t matter.

A Ferrari, especially from the mid-90s on, is super comfortable! But yes... living in it is unfortunately not so feasible. :)

I understand your frustration. But who else should pay then? The general taxpayer of the city, who finances your piece of sidewalk and your damn sewer for the feel-good factor??

Then the municipality lacks money for daycare and the like. Always remember, the money is not gone! It’s just with someone else!

For such high-priced plots, the development costs will always be extremely high. This is because the municipality needs land for the development. And there is a difference whether €1,500,000 is spent (and then allocated) for 1,000 sqm of road or only €31,000 is needed (land value from another thread in the far east). In both cases, it will be the same road, the same pavement, etc. The municipality can’t do anything about that. But you benefit from a prime location in a booming region – but you have to pay for it. There are only two options: be happy that you get a plot at all or move far away. That decision is yours alone. Complaining or whining won’t help.

Our development contribution is 37€ per sqm. - but it’s also an area where the plots still have a reasonable size :D

It’s just luck if you’re a country bumpkin ;)

Just for comparison, the broken-down costs for our plot of land in the district of Regensburg (within a 15 km radius)
Development was done in 2020 under the following conditions:

Land price: €125.25 per sqm
Development: €69 per sqm ---> means for our plot of about 500 sqm slightly over €35,000
KAG fees (water/sewage): €11.25
Total: €205.50 per sqm

But still bought without hesitation... because there is nothing on the open market and if there is, then for at least 50% more.
