Why is _no one allowed_ to install my washbasins?

Morning, can someone maybe shed some light on this? I have already heard from a second company that they cannot give me an offer for the installation of our self-procured washbasins because they are not allowed to install them dürfen. Even our plumber who is doing the rest of the house installations said that he is not allowed to do it. Then I asked a carpentry company that is installing our stairs, and they also say they are not allowed to do it. I also get no offers/requests for my tender on MyHammer. I somehow feel like I’m missing a chapter in the book to understand this. Why exactly is no one allowed to do it?

As far as I know, this is related to the warranty for defects. The moment a company installs the washbasin, that company assumes the warranty for the washbasin, even though the washbasin is not sold by the company itself.

I suspect this is about fear of warranty claims. But why you can't find anyone even on Meinhammer is beyond me. Have you tried the big classifieds portal?

Well, that's because the order books are full and a company doesn't make any money from just fastening something quickly. They miss out on the fat margin on the washbasin. "not allowed" would only apply to the property developer because you don't own the place yet. In all other cases, it's at most a directive from the boss and synonymous with "not wanting to." And that not wanting is completely common in the industry. So, do it yourself.

I would also say, just do it yourself. It’s not rocket science, and certainly not magic.
