Hello! Last week we looked at the flooring Parador Modular One at a dealer. Sounds interesting; plasticizer-free; lifetime warranty; integrated impact sound insulation made of cork. Who already has experience with it? When installing? In daily use; cleaning; maintenance; durability.

Hello Garfield,

we have decided on this flooring for the reasons you described and installed it in the past few days. On the first day, 47m² of the living room, and on the following two days, about 60m² of living spaces.

The installation was really very easy, quick and straightforward. The quality of the planks (we chose the larger version with a length of 220cm) is very good, only one plank had an adhesive defect. On 2-3 planks, parts of the tongue broke off, but we were still able to process them.

Since installation, we have swept, vacuumed, and wiped once each. That worked perfectly.

Would you like to tell me what the planks cost per m² for you? I’m still unsure whether the price from our dealer is good and would like to have a comparison...

Joe

Hey Joe, thank you very much for your reply! I don't remember the exact price anymore, but it's about 30 euros/sqm. How much did the floor cost for you?
Best regards, Susi

Have also installed and are using it. The floor smells quite a bit at first and installation is relatively easy. Although the click system could be better, we solved it by first connecting a whole strip and then attaching it, not each individual plank. That worked perfectly.

What I really like, however, is the design and the feel. Both perfect. Likewise, the thickness and integrated impact sound insulation.

However, we still put an additional impact sound insulation underneath to gain another 1-2mm in height and thus be flush with the adjoining floor.

Can also confirm the additions from Bookstar. Connect the entire strip sideways, then insert the whole strip into the already laid floor.

On the screed PE foil, then 2mm impact sound insulation, then the 8mm Parador planks. This should get you pretty much exactly to potential other floor coverings....

You can use the Parador Akustik Protect 100, then you don't need any PE foil. It has an aluminum coating for bonding. You gain 1.8 mm from this.
