Which tiles to choose for the entrance area? What did you choose?

then I would match the stairs to the tiles, in my opinion two different floor coverings simply don't look very nice. Otherwise, you can of course see dusty shoe prints on dark gray tiles, we have light gray tiles that practically never look dirty.

Best regards

But honestly, I think I have never seen only one type of flooring per floor. I don't find that so dramatic.

Most have tiles in the kitchen and then parquet or vinyl in the living room next door.
And then tiles in the bathroom and carpet or something else in the bedrooms.

Then you have only lived in rental apartments so far. Flooring roulette is the order of the day there. That’s exactly why a continuous floor covering is high-quality in my opinion.

Carpet is pretty much out in times of underfloor heating. Only a few are suitable for it.

He should definitely choose floor tiles, they should please the woman, he shouldn't worry about anything else... and he should take care of the location of his workshop. Smile

Forget dark tiles, especially anthracite. They are the worst. You can see every spot and crumb on them. The ones you chose are already pretty and practical.

Otherwise, we don't have a continuous covering. In the hallway, smaller wood-look tiles, in the bathroom (the door is usually open) the same tiles but one shade grayer. In the living room, laminate in a similar tone to the tiles in the hallway. I think it all looks very harmonious.

Ugh, just today we went tile shopping again and tended to choose dark gray anthracite tiles.

Reason:
- Nicer contrast to the light wall tiles in the guest bathroom (and dark wall tiles are out of the question)
- The light tiles looked boring together with the wall tiles, all tone on tone.
- Better size (60x120), the others would be 80x80.
- Dark fits better with our planned light wooden staircase (ash)
