Hello,

With a 36.5 cm stone, the issue of sound insulation is, in my opinion, negligible; but how do you come to the conclusion that aerated concrete should cause problems with statics?

Kind regards

So with the 36.5 stone, the sound probably doesn’t penetrate as much anymore, but the stone is still significantly worse in this regard compared to others, and the main focus is rather on thin interior walls, where one definitely should not recommend aerated concrete.

So and topic statics, of course you won’t have problems with a 36.5 or 40 aerated concrete stone in a single-family house, but other stones have higher bulk densities, which in turn has a positive effect, for example, on (internal) load-bearing walls because you can then choose them to be significantly thinner.

The only positive thing I see in the stone is the easy workability (but I’m not responsible for that) and the insulation behavior (which today I also achieve with insulated pumice or Poroton stone or, as mentioned, with KS + ETICS).

Hello,

... have you ever heard that the brick comes in different densities? That lightweight construction in the attic should be preferred over all bricks – including KS (calcium silicate) –?

I am against generalizations as well as against a one-sided perspective...

Every builder decides individually which material they want to use; most reputable building contractors offer cost-neutral alternatives in the shell construction. Poroton undeniably has its advantages, but also its equally undeniable disadvantages – the same goes for pumice or KS. Just the fact that an ETICS has to be installed, therefore it thrives excellently in a plastic foil... ventilation is absolutely necessary... etc...

If you want to discuss objectively with me, I am gladly willing to do so; one-sided perspectives, however, do not belong in my view.

Kind regards
