And thermal bridges. Point for ETICS. *pops popcorn*

Mixing with aerated concrete, however, I also find strange. Make a purely monolithic wall out of it or ETICS with the appropriate sand-lime brick. Both will become a house you can live in comfortably.

Feeling good comes before saving. They are forcing us into insulation mania. Energy saving regulations or no building permit. They cannot force us into insulated behavior. We were just in Italy. Do you know what kind of windows they have there! We are completely crazy here. Karsten

I wanted to tell you, tightness is not the issue. Aerated concrete with plaster on both sides is also tight, as is the [WDVS facade]. Therefore, no argument for or against. If later you want to knock holes in it again with the metaphorical pickaxe, that's up to you. But you don't have to, some things simply evolve.

Contradiction is part of the political business.

No, tell me.

Stupid software. Reacted to bluminger. Not to you, Alex. They often offer this here in the North as an alternative. Aerated concrete thin plus ETICS or thick without. Seems similarly expensive to produce. And yes, the annoying thermal bridge problem used to be much less because of less tightness. An old completely unheated fieldstone church from the 14th century is not airtight at all and generally has no mold. Karsten

Doesn't matter

That's true. It's an interplay.
But you wouldn't want to live in the fieldstone church, you'd probably notice it quickly in your lungs, and in the long term in your joints.
