I was rather referring to the handling of the cable itself; I should have phrased that better, sorry. I had to replace a CAT 7 cable at my own expense because I temporarily fixed it on the wall side with a screwdriver (just pushed aside, of course not damaged) in order to press a heating pipe. A matter of less than 2 minutes with the result that the cable no longer worked. Rhenish greetingsI'm not an expert either, but the more data has to go through there, the better it has to be shielded and laid out. Cat5 is quite trouble-free in my opinion, Cat7 is more demanding.
