Which heating system would you recommend to me?

As I said, I just checked: Heating with solid fuels always at least twice, unless you only use the chimney about twice a week for a few hours. (Unfortunately, the case law hasn't become more precise.)
This even applies to the latest pellet heating systems.
And every 3 years there is the fireplace inspection.
You may like it or not – with modern new buildings heated by electricity, that would already be almost 20% of the total heating costs.

Good morning

It is absolutely correct, it’s a matter of apples and oranges
and in both cases it’s about costs.

If, for example, someone asks questions about a kitchen worth 20,000 euros, no one would think of recommending a kitchen for 5,000 euros to the person asking. Meals prepared in the cheaper kitchen surely do not taste worse. So why spend so much money?
Reasons: might look nicer – matter of taste, status symbol?, fun with the technology,
... everyone surely has their own reasons.

When it comes to a biomass heating system, those not interested in this technology like to immediately argue about costs. But here too, similar to the kitchen, there are other reasons that can speak in favor of such a heating system.
For example, fun heating with sun and wood, taking care of your own heat, environmental considerations... and certainly many more.
These reasons are surely very individual, just like with the kitchen.

Why is it better to spend 15,000 euros more for a kitchen than for a heating system?
Why not accept such ideas as well?

I think both decisions have their justification.

Regarding the exhaust air heat pump, I completely agree with you.

Why does no one come up with the idea? Quite simply, because for 99% of people, heating systems are a rather less emotionally charged topic; they just need to be functional. That there are occasional enthusiasts who polish and caress their heating system every day ... OK, that happens with everything.

Since the thread starter asked directly about electricity consumption etc., meaning costs seem to be the focus, the topic of costs is addressed ... your constructed example with the kitchen doesn’t help here.

It's not about not accepting. Of course, you can do it that way. But it's a matter of indulgence.

For most people, reliability and cost-effectiveness are really important when it comes to heating. Cooking is mostly a hobby, celebrated and adds more quality of life through comfort, shared time in the kitchen, design—especially in open spaces—and so on. Heating, on the other hand, is a box that you want to see as little as possible, that should work, and preferably be inexpensive. Few people can really warm up to it (pun intended), let alone enjoy it. Therefore, the majority here reduce this to cost/benefit aspects.

But there are already fans of wood, open fires, tile stoves, etc. That is also a kind of aesthetics, and a kind of country lifestyle. Karsten
