Oh, on closer reading it seems to be laminate with a cork backing. So not 100% natural. But hey, it’s still more natural than vinyl.
I would still be in favor. Apparently there are even materials under 20 EUR/m²...

I must have been too dumb to search a year ago. Or there really were fewer designs. Now I’m a bit annoyed.

We will go check out cork live this weekend and the other options.

Laminate (probably out though), vinyl, parquet, and cork (possibly bamboo if we find something)

It’s important for me to have seen and felt the floor in person; after that, I can calmly order if it’s cheaper.

You can test the noise of dogs walking with your fingernail, it’s almost the same as when the dog walks with claws.

For me, the flooring is not automatically out just because it’s made of plastic or unnatural.

Apparently, today’s vinyl floors are completely free of harmful substances and only contain natural plasticizers (no idea if that’s true). Vinyl is definitely supposed to be safe for health and even antibacterial.

I’m currently completely undecided and weighing all the pros and cons of the different types of flooring to find the best floor for us.

Vinyl is only off the table for me because it should actually be cheaper than laminate, but it isn't. So it’s sold more expensively, even though that makes no sense production-wise (in my opinion, I’m not from the industry). I condemn that and don’t want to give manufacturers anything for it. That’s why I prefer laminate right away. Yes, go ahead and share your experience with cork flooring, especially with the décor layer (if you find anything); I’d be interested in that. Maybe I’ll change the floor upstairs earlier than I thought...

doesn't cork have a heat-insulating property and a low thermal conductivity?

Isn't that rather counterproductive for underfloor heating and more suitable for old buildings with regular radiators, or am I wrong?

Yes, that is the case. But so far no one has proven that the place stays cold because of it or that it increases your heating costs to an exorbitant amount. With the layer thickness we're talking about here, you already need vacuum panels to insulate effectively. If it were up to that, you would only be allowed to lay tiles.

Our dog is about 10 kg lighter. After more than 4 years in the house, I can say: the vinyl can’t be harmed by him. The only traces he leaves are paw prints when it is wet in the garden. But those can be easily removed. It looks completely different where we have wood: the staircase with glued laminated oak steps. There I have already had to do repairs because dog paws left scratches. And that although the dog actually only uses the stairs twice a day. In this respect, the choice of parquet does not seem to be quite easy if a 45 kg dog moves on it...
