Which downdraft vent? For a new kitchen? Who can recommend something?

I wanted to bring up the topic again, as we are currently also faced with the choice between a downdraft extractor or a ceiling hood. We really like the Oranier. Since it's already been a few months, I wanted to ask again. Still satisfied with the Oranier? Is the cleaning easy and is there enough space for the pots?

Many thanks in advance.

Before you buy - have the effectiveness of the extractor demonstrated to you and keep in mind that steam is a very easy task (most demonstrate with boiling water. Some solutions work, unfortunately some solutions do not work well and then it does not help you that you can clean and maintain the device well, because it does not fulfill its job. Unfortunately, I only know Bora Classic and Professional from practical experience (they work well) and cannot say anything about Oranier.

Have the Neff, that also works very well regarding the extraction. Cleaning is easy, after 2 years still no problems at all.

We have now decided on the Gutmann Nivel solution. There you can still use the drawer under the cooktop and have 5 cooking zones.

And how is your experience with it by now?

That Bora works very well I was able to test several times - in my case these were Classic and Professional, each first series. That we then decided against this solution was due to the fact that we valued the advantages of a Freiflächen-Induktionskochfeld even more highly. Now hanging above it is a sculpture-like Falmec Marilyn.
