Hello
The following question arose during the planning:
I would like to install the Ikea TYDLIG induction hob into a 60cm base cabinet with drawers.
According to Ikea, the Tydlig has a depth of 51mm. The countertop is the Akerby with a thickness of 38mm.

My question now is:
Do I have to use the FA185 for this hob as a 60cm base cabinet with drawers, where the top drawer cannot be opened, or can I also use a standard base cabinet FA112?
According to the Tydlig installation instructions, there must be a gap of at least 5mm between the countertop and the drawer.
Can I somehow create this gap with the top drawer of the FA112 as well?
Unfortunately, I have not found any information about the thickness of the glass plate of the hob anywhere, I estimate about 5mm, right? That would then be 51-38 (countertop)-5=8mm, so the hob would only protrude 8mm into the drawer?
Therefore, I would prefer not to do without the drawer, is that possible?
Best regards

I don't have the FA numbers off the top of my head, but it should be fine.

A divider shelf goes under the cooktop, NYTTIG ... something, and the top drawer is then only 35 cm deep, so it's a wall cabinet drawer. You get the 5 mm ventilation gap because the cabinet includes a metal crosspiece, so the crosspiece does not rest directly against the countertop like with the wooden parts.

Thank you, I always thought the FA185 has no drawer on top but a fixed panel. It makes sense that the top drawer is only 35cm deep, especially because of the cable. I also found the Nyttig, it is included with the FA185. Therefore, it probably makes sense that Ikea recommends the FA185 instead of the standard base cabinet. I will therefore plan for the FA185. Now I have a question about the FA185: On the Ikea page, you can see that the FA185 has 2 full-extension drawers with full depth and one full-extension drawer with 35cm depth at the top. The lower 2 full-extension drawers have dampers, but the upper one does not. Question: Is it not possible to also equip the upper 35cm deep drawer with a damper? Regards Section Chief

Sorry, the question has been clarified.
With the 35cm full extension, the dampers are already included, for the deep full extensions they are listed as a separate item.
