I completely agree....

In the end, we just need your kitchen pre-planned here and there are definitely enough users here who can help you with the little details. There are plenty of ideas here. Why not give it a try?
In any case, you can't go wrong with this.... And it's free, too.

Once everything is planned, you just need someone who can then build it. If you also mention your place of residence (or area), surely a carpenter can be found here who can help with the assembly. Or at least someone who knows someone.

Hello,

thank you very much for your help, this forum is really impressive!

I have redrawn a section (kitchen living room) from the building application, the most important dimensions are correctly included. I have now also adopted the "basic proposal" from the architect for the kitchen. The kitchen is open to the living room. One installation wall is 3.7m long, the other (with window) is 3.44m long. On the exterior wall, we don’t want anything except the dining area, as the sliding door to the balcony will be placed there.

The current plan is very similar to the one drawn in, i.e. on the long wall first two tall cabinets where the oven and microwave will be installed. The microwave should be on top and its “Unerkannte” should not be above 1.15m-1.2m, so that it can still be reached from the wheelchair. In the second tall cabinet, we have so far planned the freezer/refrigerator combo, also as low as possible, but only as deep as necessary to have good access to the fridge while seated. The working height is planned at 86cm, for wheelchair clearance it should be 68-70cm. The cooktop and the sink should be wheelchair-accessible. To avoid damage to the furniture, the “Unterfahrslots” should be 90-100cm wide. For the sink, the basin depth and the position of the outlet/trap also play an important role. The basin does not have to be completely wheelchair-accessible; it is sufficient if you can get 30-40cm underneath and thus operate the faucet easily.

We have planned a carousel cabinet in the corner below the cooktop. Of course, the wheelchair accessibility results in a loss of storage space, and additionally, we need storage space in the low area

I am now attaching the “sketch” here

Best regards, Mac

I think your preliminary planning is really good already!

Unfortunately, I don’t see a fridge/freezer combo as possible here (unless you find a half-height, freestanding unit with a larger separate freezer compartment on top -- is the white freestanding LAGAN still available in Germany?). Would a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment maybe suffice for you? For example, a Frostig 184/18 or Förkyld?

Putting the oven and microwave in the 141 cm tall cabinet, on the other hand, is no problem. You could then install a 60x13 cm drawer at the bottom and cover the remaining gap at the top.
Additionally, I’ve placed a 60 cm pull-out pantry next to the cooktop (which is great for storing oil, vinegar, spices, and other cooking utensils).

I’ll continue writing here tomorrow morning – I can barely see my keyboard anymore… :(

Good night!

so... Now let's continue. Depending on up to what height wall cabinets would still be reachable, I would try to use the space on the wall as well as possible. If necessary, there would also be 60x57cm or 60x35cm tall wall cabinets if the 70cm ones are already too high. Furthermore, I have planned a base cabinet with shelves in 37cm depth under the cooktop to reasonably ensure legroom and generate storage space. This could, for example, be equipped with Utrusta push-to-open mechanisms in order to avoid having to install protruding handles.

Let me know if this would generally be possible! Maybe someone else here has a brilliant idea...?

Hello Elvis,

thank you very much for your efforts!

How much can the cooktop still be recessed underneath? One must not forget the installation depth and the wiring of the cooktop. Also, there must be a minimum distance maintained below the cooktop (heat also underneath!).

My main doubts about an Ikea solution are the cabinet height, which is already 86 cm, so without the countertop and without feet/plinth we are already above the limit :(

We have now had a plan made at a kitchen studio. They took a kitchen series with a cabinet height of 68.5 cm. The manufacturer also offers corresponding recessing options in the series, that looks not bad.

Although I quite like the IKEA kitchens, I no longer see much chance for such a solution.

Nevertheless, many thanks for your answers and suggestions!!!

Best regards, Mac
