Sorry, I made a mistake. I meant PVC... It's a softer "noppenboden" that is glued down. For example, "Noppflex" or whatever they are all called.

We have installed tiles and laminate at our place and have been quite satisfied with them so far (for 1.5 years):

Tiles: hallway, corridor, utility room, storage room, living room, kitchen, bathrooms
Laminate: bedroom and office/guest room with abrasion class 3 as well as 2 children's rooms with abrasion class 4

Currently, there is still a small (2 x 3.50 m) children's rug on the laminate in each children's room.

How we came to our decision:
With linoleum, my hair stood on end back then. I always imagined those ugly linoleum floors from GDR times. Yes - I know: it is not comparable at all to today's products. But if the thought makes your stomach churn, you don't have to torture yourself.
We once had good experiences with cork (in a rental apartment), but acquaintances had bad experiences too (persistent mold smell). Also, when moving out of the rental apartment, impressions of the cabinet feet were visible on the cork.
Parquet was simply too expensive for us.
We did not want carpet because, despite regular vacuuming, it gets dirty sooner or later and is sometimes no longer cleanable even with a cleaning service (experience from old apartment). Smooth floors are easier to clean in our opinion.

I ordered our future floors yesterday (we finally finished with that ):

    [*]Tiles in the hallways of the basement and ground floor, kitchen, bathroom, and guest WC
    [*]Cheap DIY store tiles in the utility room and cellar
    [*]Kährs parquet in the living area
    [*]Vinyl on HDR carrier in the bedrooms and the upstairs hallway (Yes, Neige, you put that idea in our heads ).

The last point was particularly difficult. We also initially wanted laminate, but after taking a closer look, we decided on vinyl for one simple reason: impact sound . I'm curious if we're right about that.

We had also dealt with this. Since our bedrooms are on the ground floor, it was completely irrelevant there. Only in the office/guest room could it have an effect – but it didn't for us.
We occasionally noticed in the past that impact sound often depends on the shoes being worn. Usually, you cannot hear slippers, Crocs, or similar footwear. On the other hand, we once heard from friends that the tenant above them walked around with stiletto heels / high heels in the apartment. That was annoying.
BUT – who wears high heels in the bedroom.

Hm – if I think about it carefully as a man: high heels in the bedroom could have something in certain situations.

Somewhere in my circle of friends, I've heard exactly that argument before.

In our case, the bedrooms are on the upper floor and we have an open wooden beam ceiling. Therefore, playing children in their rooms are certainly more likely to be heard and we had to put in a bit more effort. I'm curious to see how much we actually hear them.

But as long as it's only within the family, it wouldn't be a problem either way.

Hey,
so for me it looks like this:
Kitchen = tiles
Bathroom = tiles
Living room = parquet
Children's room = parquet
Storage room: vinyl

I find the vinyl floor quite pleasant and it is also easy to clean. I prefer parquet and vinyl most of all in the living area.
