Personally, I always feel sick on waterbeds, so clearly box spring beds for me, I also find them very comfortable due to their plush padding.

We have now read a huge amount and also gathered tips from various forums. But the tendency is moving towards a box spring bed. On the one hand because the follow-up costs and the effort with the water bed bother us. : There are a variety of offers where you can buy the beds without a headboard. We have now chosen the Geneva bed as a favorite. Does anyone know this shop? And have experience with it. We especially liked this model because it still includes the extra suspension and a good mattress.

Hey, well, I can only recommend box spring beds to you, since I feel sick on waterbeds, but I think you should make your own experiences to form your own opinion.

@All

Unfortunately, we had to decide against a waterbed due to the statement of our structural engineer.

In the meantime, I have also received a message from one of our customers that he has a refurbished waterbed available at a very low price.

So if you live in the area between Aachen - Cologne - Düsseldorf and are interested, please feel free to email me. I will then put you in touch.

Rhenish regards

???
I'm curious.
The structural engineer has something against a waterbed? How can it be that a ceiling can't hold a waterbed? With a size of 200x220cm, about 600-800 liters fit in, which means, for example, a washing machine or a refrigerator exerts a point load on the ceiling greater than the waterbed (although with absolutely higher weight).
We could have even set it up in an old building (a multi-family Gründerzeit house with a wooden beam ceiling).

I have never had 10 refrigerators standing on such a small area to compare. Especially since a waterbed also only stands on a few feet, right? So each foot has to hold significantly more weight.
