Yes, you did, because you focus on my price, which is explicitly meant for a box spring bed. The box spring bed only comes in one piece from one manufacturer, and I cannot buy individual unimportant parts (e.g., the frame) cheaply. I know someone who bought a €1000 box spring bed and threw it away after one week. Comparing single beds made from various components with a large box spring double bed strongly reminds me of trolling. I have the feeling that some people here have to criticize by default, even though I often just want to offer the questioners other options.

3,000 euros??? Either I have junk standing there and my body just doesn’t notice it, or I’m simply lucky:

- Bed Ikea 230 euros
- Slatted frames, adjustable, etc.: 120 euros each
- Mattress: 7-zone, cold foam: 300 euros each
- Mattress protector: 15 euros each

That makes 1,100 euros... it doesn’t always have to be the most expensive option, as one is often led to believe.

Apparently I wasn’t clear. The 3,000 euros refer to bed systems like box spring, water, gel, and to the bed size we chose of 200x220 (usually already considered extra long).
That’s why my last sentence said you can get something cheaper if you choose a “classic system” (slatted frame + mattress).

However, one must also say that €230 for a bed frame is really very cheap. The frames in 200x220 start at around €1,000, at least those that look decent, although the appearance should of course be secondary to the lying quality.
Otherwise, my research has shown that there are indeed affordable, very good foam or pocket spring mattresses that are in no way inferior to the lying quality of a waterbed.
Example: the "Antikartellmatratze." Just google it, linking is not allowed.

It's just a standard size - and the frame has nothing to do with the sleeping comfort. Whether it looks good is, again, a matter of taste - we like our white stained Hemnes
